(D.R. Pedraza is an alias for David R. Pedrazine)
D.R. Pedraza is an author of historical fiction, fantasy and drama as well as a lyricist for The Michael
Guerra Band and a screenwriter with his company DB Media Entertainment. His first novel, "The
Solomon Chronicles: Sangre del Unico," was published by Iuniverse Publishing in 2008.
Between 2008-2012, Pedraza honed his skills writing a number of screenplays, songs while working onbook II of The Solomon Chronicles Series. During this period, he also began writing a television seriesbased on his character "Jude Quinn" a former Army Ranger turned Private Detective in Texas. To date,he has penned three complete seasons with a spinoff in season three. He also continued working andcreating with Michael Guerra.
Also in 2008, Pedraza and Guerra put together a music festival, The San Antonio Tardeada MusicFestival which was a success. Bands included 5-Time Grammy Award Winner Flaco Jimenez, PatriciaVonne, Shawn Sahm & The Tex Mex Experience, The Dog Men Poets, Mitch Webb & The Swindles,The Drugstore Cowboys and Pride and Joy.The debut record from The Michael Guerra Band peaks at #22 on the Texas Charts in 2012. In 2013,Pedraza wrote, produced and helped cast two short films, "Love Death" which was the first vehicle forhis "Jude Quinn" character. The short was produced along with a trailer for the full Film.The next film he wrote and helped produce was a sports drama/Female coming of age film starringJesse Borrego (Blood in Blood Out, Fame, Con Air) entitled "Duque." We created a sizzle reel for thisfilm which you can view on this site.Pedraza dove into directing and Produced and Directed his first short film,"The Last Rose," in April2014.
In May of 2014, Pedraza released Book II of The Solomon Chronicles, "Revisions."He is currently working on the 2nd Album for the Michael Guerra Band, and just now going into editsfor Love Death. He is also working on Book III of The Solomon Chronicles Series which is scheduledfor a Late 2016 release.

Pedraza hits his groove as a writer in this second book in the series. The story continues with time travel and magical subplots that keep the story fresh but riveting. Its a great read for fantasy readers with wonderful imagery. I could not put it down and can't wait for third book.

The best kept secret! This book is incredible. Wow!
I can actually feel myself riding horseback down the same dirt trails,
meeting the same knights and royalty, witnessing the same romance, and
fighting in the same battles (which can be very intense) beside my brethren.
It's written as if I'm physically in the middle of a large movie scene and
a part of history, and the characters come alive leading me through time
with a mesh between real history and fantasy. It is very intoxicating and
hard to put down.
I am definitely looking forward to the next book to be introduced. And, I
won't be surprised that if this book gets in the right hands, it ends up at
the movies and is an Academy Award Winner! Kudos to the author!

2020 is turning out to be a busy year for us here at DB Media Entertainment. I have some amazing music coming out on the new Nights Calling album, "Spread the Love" and I am blessed that Michael and I are still creating and trying to make our mark on the world. I could have no better business partner and co-creator.

On top of the new music release in San Antonio, here in New Mexico we are working hard on our new television production "The Route 66 Interviews: Foodies who Rock!!" Unfortunately , with the Corona Virus pandemic striking the entire world, we too have halted all production. We are working hard on rescheduling our amazing guests and we look forward to bringing a trailer or two very soon.

Now on to novel news, I do plan on getting back into book three of The Solomon Chronicles. The third edition has yet to be titled but there is still much to write so something may pop out soon. No expected release date yet but will keep you posted.
